Unlock the full power of your voice in this transformative workshop designed for performers and public speakers. Through hands‑on exercises in breath control, resonance, body–voice connection, and dynamic sound production, you’ll build confidence, clarity, and emotional expressiveness in your voice. Ideal for actors, speakers, MCs, and anyone who wants to tell stories more authentically—on stage, in meetings, or in front of any audience. This is a 4‑hour workshop, including short breaks. Refreshments will be provided for all participants. What the workshop covers: — Develop a basic understanding of how the voice works — Explore the connection between the body and the voice — Learn foundational breathing techniques to support and strengthen your voice — Connect a sense of ease with vocal projection — Experiment with dynamic, expressive sounds in a healthy, sustainable way This workshop is somewhat physical in nature, so please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that allow for movement. Who this workshop is for: — Anyone age 16 and up — Actors, MCs, and public speakers — Anyone who wants to feel more confident when speaking in public — Those who wish to expand the power, range, and emotional depth of their vocal instrument

Meg McLynn

Facilitator

Meg McLynn is a Seattle-based actor, vocalist, and teaching artist who loves sharing her passion for performance with students of all ages.

She is a member of the vocal groups Sugartime Trio and Blue Plate Special, and she has been an Anthem Singer for the Seattle Seahawks.

Local acting credits include roles with Seattle Shakespeare Company, Book-It Rep, Seattle Symphony, ArtsWest, Seattle Opera, Seattle Public Theatre, Washington Ensemble Theatre, Theatre22, and 14/48: TWQTF, as well as the feature films Different Drummers, 7 Minutes, and Colton. You can see her in the series The Girl in the Woods, streaming on Peacock.

Meg received her BFA from Emerson College and her MFA from Columbia University. Meg teaches Voice and Speech at Cornish College of the Arts, and she teaches the Acting Core Curriculum at Freehold Theatre Lab.
